Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Welcome to Uganda

Your adventure begins as you arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where you’re met by a safari representative. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore Entebbe’s highlights such as the Botanical Gardens or the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre. Overnight stay in a comfortable lodge near the airport sets the tone for the week ahead.

Day 2: Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Into the Gorilla Kingdom

After breakfast, you take a scheduled flight to Kihihi or Kisoro airstrip, depending on your trekking sector. A scenic flight over southwestern Uganda offers stunning views of hills, lakes, and forests. You’ll transfer by road to your lodge nestled in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a primeval jungle home to half the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Spend the afternoon at leisure or visit a local Batwa community for a cultural experience.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking – The Ultimate Wildlife Encounter

Today is the highlight of your safari. After a briefing by park rangers, you’ll embark on a guided trek into the dense forest to locate a habituated gorilla family. The trek may range from 2 to 6 hours depending on the group’s location. Once found, you’re allowed one magical hour in their presence—watching, photographing, and marveling at these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Return to your lodge and spend the evening relaxing amid the forest sounds.

Day 4: Fly to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Game Drive at the Equator

Depart Bwindi after breakfast and fly to Mweya airstrip in Queen Elizabeth National Park. After check-in at your lodge, enjoy a scenic game drive in the Kasenyi Plains where lions, elephants, buffalo, and Uganda kob roam. Queen Elizabeth is known for its diverse landscapes, including savannah, wetlands, and volcanic craters, all teeming with wildlife.

Day 5: Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel and Wildlife Drive

Today’s highlight is a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway linking Lake Edward and Lake George. This is one of Africa’s densest concentrations of hippos, and sightings of crocodiles, elephants, and countless bird species are guaranteed. In the afternoon, go for another game drive or explore the volcanic crater lakes region.

Day 6: Fly to Murchison Falls National Park – Uganda’s Oldest and Largest Park

After breakfast, you fly north to Murchison Falls National Park, where the Nile River dramatically squeezes through a 7-meter gorge to form the powerful Murchison Falls. After checking in at your lodge, enjoy an evening game drive in the northern sector of the park, spotting giraffes, lions, and other iconic African animals.

Day 7: Boat Cruise to the Falls Base and Top of the Falls Hike

Start the day with a boat cruise upstream the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls. Watch crocodiles sunning on the banks and herds of elephants drinking at the river. Disembark and take a short hike to the top of the falls for a breathtaking view of the thunderous cascade. The afternoon can be spent at leisure or on another game drive.

Day 8: Fly to Entebbe – Departure

After breakfast, transfer to the Pakuba Airstrip for your return flight to Entebbe. Depending on your outbound flight, optional activities such as a visit to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary can be arranged. Bid farewell to Uganda with cherished memories of your epic safari.
