Day 1: Arrival in Kigali, Rwanda

Your adventure begins in Kigali, Rwanda’s vibrant capital. Upon arrival, you’re welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, take a city tour that includes a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial—an insightful and emotional introduction to Rwanda’s recent history and its incredible journey of recovery and unity.

Day 2: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, depart for Volcanoes National Park, a 2-3 hour scenic drive northwest. The road winds through lush hills, tea plantations, and picturesque villages. In the afternoon, enjoy a cultural visit to Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village to gain insight into traditional Rwandan life, music, and dance.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Day 4: Flight to Nairobi, Kenya – Transfer to Maasai Mara

Return to Kigali for your flight to Nairobi, Kenya. After a brief stop in Nairobi, fly to the world-renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your luxury safari lodge or camp. Enjoy a sundowner overlooking the plains and anticipate the days ahead.

Day 5: Full-Day Game Drive in the Maasai Mara

Spend a full day exploring the Maasai Mara, one of Africa’s top safari destinations. With luck, you’ll witness the famous Big Five: lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino. The Mara is also home to cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and a multitude of bird species. During the Great Migration (July to October), millions of wildebeests and zebras cross from Tanzania into Kenya—a spectacle of survival and strategy.

Day 6: Maasai Village Visit and Sunset Safari
