Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport or after breakfast in Kampala, your guide will transfer you to Kibale Forest National Park, a scenic drive through rolling hills, tea plantations, and rural villages in western Uganda.
Arrive at your lodge near the forest in the afternoon and relax in the serene surroundings. Kibale is often referred to as the “Primate Capital of the World” and is home to 13 primate species, including the wild chimpanzees you’ll meet the next day. Enjoy dinner and an early night in preparation for the exciting day ahead.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Wetland Walk
After an early breakfast, head to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for a chimpanzee tracking briefing. Accompanied by experienced guides, venture into the forest in search of a habituated chimpanzee troop. The walk also offers chances to see red colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and various bird species.
Once located, you’ll spend an hour observing the chimpanzees—watching their social dynamics, grooming habits, and vocal interactions in their natural habitat.
After lunch, explore the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-led eco-tourism site rich in birdlife, monkeys, butterflies, and cultural heritage. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Following breakfast, travel south to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s most diverse wildlife areas. The drive offers beautiful views of the Rwenzori Mountains, crater lakes, and the Rift Valley floor.
Arrive in time for a relaxed afternoon boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George to Lake Edward. This cruise is perfect for spotting hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffalo, and a stunning array of waterbirds.
Check in at your lodge and enjoy the peaceful evening.
