Morning: White-Water Rafting on the Nile River

Departure from Kampala: Begin your day early with a pick-up from your hotel in Kampala. The journey to Jinja takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, offering scenic views along the way.

Arrival and Briefing: Upon reaching Jinja, you’ll be welcomed by your rafting guides. A comprehensive safety briefing will be provided, covering rafting techniques, safety protocols, and what to expect during the adventure.

Rafting Adventure: Set off on the Nile River for an exhilarating white-water rafting experience. The full-day trip typically covers about 15 kilometers of the river, navigating through Grade 5 rapids. No prior rafting experience is necessary; guides will ensure safety and enjoyment throughout the journey. The adventure lasts approximately 4 to 5 hours, including breaks and a riverside picnic lunch.

Return to Base: After conquering the rapids, return to the rafting base for refreshments and relaxation. Complimentary photos capturing the day’s highlights will be provided.

Evening: Ndere Cultural Centre – A Tapestry of Ugandan Traditions

Arrival at Ndere Cultural Centre: In the late afternoon, head to the Ndere Cultural Centre, located in Kisasi, a short drive from Kampala. The Centre is set on nine acres of lush greenery, offering a serene environment to unwind after the day’s adventures.

Cultural Performance: Experience the rich tapestry of Uganda’s diverse cultures through traditional music, dance, and storytelling. The Ndere Troupe showcases performances from various ethnic groups, including the Baganda, Bakiga, Basoga, and more. The evening’s program typically runs from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. 

Culinary Delights: Savor authentic Ugandan cuisine at the Centre’s restaurant. Dishes include “matoke” (steamed bananas), “atapa” (millet bread), and “rolex” (chapati with eggs and vegetables). A buffet dinner is available for an additional fee. 

Return to Kampala: After the cultural immersion, depart from the Centre and return to Kampala, concluding your memorable day.
