Flights land at Amboseli Airstrip, and the journey typically takes just 30 minutes.
By Road
Traveling to Amboseli by road offers scenic views of Kenya’s countryside and can be a great adventure. There are two main routes:
Nairobi to Meshanani Gate via Namanga Route – Approximately 240 km, taking about 4 hours.
Nairobi to Remito Gate via Mombasa Road – Roughly 228 km, about 2.5 to 3 hours drive. This route passes through Emali, a charming town known for its smooth, paved roads and pleasant stopovers.
For road travel, a 4WD vehicle is highly recommended, especially during the rainy season.
