Day by Day Itinerary.

Day 1:   Arrival in Nairobi – Gateway to the Wild

Your Kenyan adventure begins with your arrival in Nairobi, the capital and heartbeat of East Africa. Upon landing at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel for a rest after your journey. Depending on arrival time, you may have an opportunity to visit the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage or the Giraffe Centre to meet endangered Rothschild giraffes.

Day 2:  Nairobi to Amboseli National Park – Elephants & Kilimanjaro Views

After breakfast, depart south toward Amboseli National Park (approx. 4–5 hours drive), famous for its large elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak. After lunch at your lodge, embark on your first afternoon game drive, scanning the plains for elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffalo, zebras, and giraffes. On a clear day, the snow-capped mountain makes for unforgettable photo opportunities.

Day 3: Full Day in Amboseli – Wildlife & Community Connection

Spend a full day exploring the park with morning and afternoon game drives. Amboseli’s swamps, fed by underground springs from Kilimanjaro, draw large herds of wildlife, especially during dry seasons. Visit Observation Hill for panoramic views of the park.

Day 4: Amboseli to Lake Naivasha – Rift Valley Serenity

After breakfast, head north through the scenic Great Rift Valley toward Lake Naivasha (approx. 6–7 hours drive with stops). This freshwater lake, surrounded by acacia forests and volcanic hills, is a haven for birds and hippos.

In the afternoon, take a boat safari on Lake Naivasha, gliding past pods of hippos and spotting birds like African fish eagles, kingfishers, and cormorants. You may also visit Crescent Island, a private sanctuary where you can enjoy a guided walking safari among zebras, giraffes, and antelope—no predators here, making it ideal for getting up close on foot.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha to Maasai Mara – Into the Wild

After an early breakfast, depart for Maasai Mara National Reserve (approx. 5–6 hours), Kenya’s premier wildlife destination and the northern extension of the Serengeti ecosystem. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch followed by an afternoon game drive in search of the “Big Five”: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino.

As the sun dips below the horizon, the Mara’s golden light creates perfect conditions for photography. The sheer volume and variety of wildlife here make every game drive exciting and unpredictable.

It’s a chance to understand how communities coexist with wildlife and preserve their heritage., return to Nairobi (approx. 6 hours) or take an optional short domestic flight back to the city. Upon arrival, you may enjoy a farewell lunch or shop for souvenirs at local craft markets before being transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
