Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Transfer to Bwindi

Your tour begins with a morning pickup from Entebbe International Airport or your hotel. You’ll embark on a scenic full-day drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in southwestern Uganda. The journey takes you through rolling hills, banana plantations, and vibrant rural communities, with lunch en route.

Arrive at your lodge near Bwindi in the late afternoon. Unwind with a welcome drink and take in views of the forest canopy before dinner and a briefing on the next day’s gorilla trek.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Rise early for a hearty breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. You’ll be assigned to a gorilla family and guided by experienced rangers into the dense forest. The trek can last anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location.

Once you find them, you’ll spend one magical hour in the company of a habituated gorilla group—watching them forage, play, rest, and interact. It’s one of the most intimate and moving wildlife encounters on Earth.

After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, enjoy a campfire or a forest-view sunset, reflecting on your once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Day 3: Coffee Tour & Local Community Visit

Today is dedicated to Uganda’s world-class Arabica coffee and cultural immersion. After breakfast, join a guided coffee experience with a local farmer or cooperative near Bwindi. From seed to cup, you’ll learn every step of the process—picking, drying, roasting, and brewing. You’ll even get to roast your own beans and enjoy a fresh cup in the hills where it’s grown.

After lunch, explore nearby communities on a cultural walk, visiting local artisans, schools, and homes. You’ll witness how tourism supports development and conservation through fair-trade, education, and health initiatives.

Return to your lodge for dinner and a relaxed evening under the stars.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi – Canoeing & Scenic Views

After breakfast, take a short and beautiful drive to Lake Bunyonyi, known for its emerald waters and over 25 tree-covered islands. Check into your lakeside lodge and enjoy a canoe ride with a local guide, exploring the lake’s peaceful bays and learning about island legends, including the history of Punishment Island.

The rest of the afternoon is yours to relax—swim in the bilharzia-free waters, go birdwatching, or enjoy panoramic views from the lodge.

Day 5: Return to Entebbe or Kampala

After a leisurely breakfast, begin your return drive to Entebbe or Kampala, stopping for lunch along the way. Depending on your international flight time, you may head directly to the airport or opt for an overnight stay in Entebbe.
