Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your safari begins with a scenic drive from Kampala or Entebbe to Bwindi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The journey offers breathtaking views of rolling hills, banana plantations, and traditional homesteads. Stop along the way for photos and a taste of Ugandan hospitality. Arrive at your lodge near the forest in the evening, where you’ll settle in, enjoy a hearty dinner, and prepare for your gorilla trekking adventure the next day.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

After an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. You’ll then venture into the dense forest with experienced rangers, tracking one of the habituated gorilla families. The trek can range from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location, but the reward is an extraordinary one-hour encounter with these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. Watch them feed, interact, and care for their young—an experience that leaves a lasting impression. After the trek, return to the lodge for relaxation and optional community visits.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Boat Safari

Depart Bwindi and travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through the scenic Ishasha sector, known for its famous tree-climbing lions. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife along the way. After checking in to your lodge, enjoy a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. This cruise offers excellent sightings of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffalo, and hundreds of bird species along the shoreline.

Day 4: Morning Game Drive and Return

Start the day with an early game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, where you’ll spot elephants, lions, antelopes, warthogs, and more. After the drive, enjoy breakfast and begin your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe, arriving by evening
