12-Day Uganda Wilderness Safari Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Welcome to Uganda
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where your safari guide will greet you. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a brief city tour or relax at your lodge overlooking Lake Victoria.
Overnight: Entebbe
Day 2: Transfer to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Jungle Walks & Rhino Tracking
Start your journey with a drive to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda to see wild rhinos. Enjoy a guided bush walk to track these massive animals on foot. Along the way, look for forest birds, antelopes, and reptiles.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park – Top of the Falls
Continue to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest protected area. Visit the top of Murchison Falls, where the mighty Nile River forces through a narrow gorge, creating thunderous waterfalls and lush mist-covered cliffs.

Day 4: Game Drive & Nile Boat Safari
Enjoy a morning game drive in the northern savannahs of the park, where lions, elephants, giraffes, and leopards roam. In the afternoon, take a boat safari along the Nile, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and water birds before reaching the base of the falls.

Day 5: Transfer to Kibale Forest – Scenic Jungle Drive
Drive through verdant countryside to Kibale Forest National Park, home to the highest density of primates in Africa. Stop for local experiences later visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, rich in birdlife and known for Great Blue Turacos, kingfishers, and colobus monkeys.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking & transfer to Semuliki National park.
After breakfast, embark on a guided chimpanzee tracking expedition in Kibale. You’ll observe these intelligent apes up close as they swing through the canopy and interact with their families. In the afternoon have lunch and transfer to Semuliki National park.

Day 7: Semuliki National Park – Jungle Hot Springs & Nature Walks
Early morning, Take a day trip to the tropical lowland jungles of Semuliki, one of Uganda’s most unique rainforests. Visit the Sempaya Hot Springs, walk along forest trails, and look for hornbills, forest elephants, and rare monkeys like the De Brazza’s. This is a true off-the-beaten-path jungle adventure and depart to Queen Elizabeth National Park the second largest savanna park in Uganda.

Day 8: Sunrise Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Safari
Begin your day with an early morning game drive through the Kasenyi Plains, where you may encounter lions, elephants, Uganda kobs, and other savannah wildlife at their most active. In the afternoon, embark on a scenic boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway linking Lake George and Lake Edward. This channel teems with life—expect close-up views of hippos wallowing, Nile crocodiles basking, and a vibrant array of waterbirds, including pelicans, African fish eagles, and flamingos. Day 9: Journey to Bwindi via the Ishasha Sector
